Shaft Collars or Retainers, are designed to be placed on the stirrer shaft directly above the bearing. Use of a collar provides protection against the stirrer shaft dropping into the vessel and permits the stirrer shaft to be positioned off the bottom of the vessel. Supplied complete with one each SM-2128 PTFE gasket of the corresponding size which acts as a dust cover protecting the stirrer bearing.
