The SciMac glass threaded connectors have a precision cut thread providing a grease free method of connection. SciMac-Thread glass connectors offer a vacuum tight seal (10-5 Torr) and adjustable quick connection. PTFE, glass, plastic or metal tubing can be connected to your apparatus with a SciMac-Thread. SciMac glass connectors are the original Chem-Thread PN CG-350. The complete connector consists of an externally threaded borosilicate glass tube, a Celcon compression cap, and a Viton O-ring. When the cap is tighten onto the glass connector, the O-ring is compressed downward and inward onto the top surface of the threaded glass tube by means of the internal tapered portion of the cap. Size #25 have a Delrin compression cap. PTFE caps are also available if your work requires a higher temperature range (-400° +480° F) See Part # 738.
