SciMac 10mm stirrer bearings are self-aligning, made from glass filled PTFE for longer wear. The 10mm glass adapter has a standard taper inner joint and a #15 internal glass thread connector. The Glass reinforced PTFE bushing (25% Glass Filled-PTFE) applies pressure on the interior saddle O-Ring to achieve a vacuum down to 1mm of Hg. The inner PTFE bearing sleeve achieves lubricant free action and can be used in either a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction. 2066 Stirrer bearings are designed to be used with our stainless steel stirrer shafts (4020, 4025, 4030, 4035) without lubrication and are also excellent for polished glass shafts.
